As part of the Strategy team within PepsiCo Data + Analytics, the Strategy & Innovation Senior Manager is responsible for developing and advancing new concepts, products, capabilities, and other related innovations that fuel and accelerate PepsiCos unified data strategy across the enterprise. This role has ownership of the overarching innovation strategy and will accomplish its objectives through a high degree of cross-functional planning, coordination, consensus building, budgeting and resourcing, executing prioritized data initiatives, value definition, and driving adoption.

This is an intensely collaborative position, reporting to and working closely with the head of PepsiCos D+A Strategy and Global Data Ecosystem to bring this innovation strategy to life. This person will interact daily with Function and Business leaders and practitioners to understand their needs and challenges, both across D+A but also across the broader S&T, Sectors, and BUs.

The successful candidate will have experience developing and delivering world-class strategic plans, roadmaps, and business cases, managing data-driven business teams, and extremely strong time management and consensus-centric executive communication skills

Key Accountabilities:

* Responsible for conceiving, incubating, developing, implementing, managing, and transitioning innovation-focused projects/products under the umbrella of PepsiCos strategic data initiatives
* Consolidate global data strategy roadmaps across sectors
* Market centric view on new and relevant innovations and capabilities
* Definition of gaps and opportunities
* Alignment of stakeholders
* Budget sourcing and management
* Marshalling Executive support for support and resourcing
* Create timelines and benchmarks for data projects and product roll-outs
* Coordinate efforts with internal teams, including Data Strategy, Metrics and Modeling, Ecosystem, Product, Value Realization
* Coordinate efforts with other S&T teams e.g. Strategy, Enterprise Transformation, DPS
* Coordinate efforts with IT, business and function leaders, etc. to keep projects on track
* Oversee execution of projects by matrix-managing analysts, strategists, and developers
* Responsible for embedding strategic data focus globally in coordination with sectors strategy teams
* Stay informed about the needs and challenges of leaders and practitioners regarding data, and consult with Data + Analytics senior leadership to adjust project prioritization and PepsiCos strategic data vision and roadmaps
* Design, research, develop, analyze new innovative concepts and strategies
* Establish and manage externally focused Innovation councils, forums, and other related thought-leadership activities
* Perform as a strategic partner to head innovation to influence change and new processes
* Participate in public speaking as relevant and approved by leadership and corporate communications
* Encourage and drive adoption of data products by identifying impediments opportunities to use Innovation to remediate
* Team management, objectives setting, employee development and mentoring and fostering good team culture

Qualifications/Requirements

* Minimum 8 years working in data-driven business functions
* Minimum 6 years experience managing data practitioners (analysts, scientist, product developers, UX, etc.)
* Experience in a Strategic role in a Brand, Consultancy, Tech Co, or Agency
* Bachelors Degree required
* Masters degree optional

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:

* Demonstrable ability to draft/author strategic narratives and POVs, business cases, and roadmaps
* Demonstrable ability to build business models
* Very strong project and time management skills
* Demonstrated excellence in people management
* Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, and comfort presenting to senior leaders
* Deep knowledge of business and data products and applications for CPG or Retail
* Strong knowledge of contemporary technology and finger on the pulse for next wave of technology innovation
* Working knowledge of common data science capabilities and techniques
