Job Description
The HR Consulting Team is responsible for advising on people issues and initiatives to Company owned restaurant employees, former employees, restaurant management, operations staff, franchise owners and field HR partners. We collaborate with our customers to provide HR expertise while also ensuring there is minimal or no negative impact to McDonald's brand. This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain broad perspective of McDonalds and the Global Business Services (GBS) People team!

As HR Employee Relations Supervisor, you will help drive greater business value and partnership to the U.S. HR team. You will be responsible for ensuring the Employee Relations Specialists provide outstanding consulting services on a multitude of HR fields including, but not limited to employee relations, performance management, discrimination & harassment, and health and safety concerns in the restaurants.

* Provide leadership to 5 direct reports to exceed customer satisfaction, support in meeting department objectives, and deliver the highest quality services and results.
* Provide counsel and coaching to current and new team members at an individual level; develop team members to act as talent pool for other parts of the business.
* Working with a new workstream to centralize and conduct virtual employee relations investigations for Corporate owned restaurant employees through ServiceNow/People-Place.
* Become an SME for future expansion of Service Now/People-Place and provide guidance and advice for other departments.
* Ensure team is properly trained to interpret policies, incorporate knowledge of state and federal employment laws (e.g. ADA, FMLA, EEO).
* Provide support to Employee Relations Specialists handling complex and escalated investigations as needed.
* Audit status of critical employee relations cases and prevent and mitigate risk of media involvement.
* Plan and recommend resource alignment and workload for Employee Relations Specialists.
* Manage Case Management and Call Center Systems (People-Place/ServiceNow, Cloud Contact Pro, Cisco Jabber) utilized by the team.
* Conduct data analysis and highlight key trends in employee relations.
* Develop service level agreements (SLAs), and actively drive system and process improvements.
* Collaborate with Field HR to share best practices, proactively identify emerging business issues and collaborate on developing and implementing solutions.
* Seek opportunities to build relationships with key internal business partners including U.S. HR, Operations, Labor & Employment Legal, and U.S. Security.
* Proactively identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, reducing cost/time savings.
* Work on internal projects/assignments as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelors degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
* 5 years of Human Resources experience
* 3+ years employee relations experience
* 3+ years people management experience
* Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment laws including: FMLA, ADA, FLSA, NLRB, Title VII
* Experience leading and conducting virtual employee relations investigations
* PHR or SHRM CP Certification

* Possess a high energy level, sense of urgency, decisiveness, and ability to work well in an ambiguous environment.
* Strong appreciation for customer service.
* Working understanding of continuous improvement as a discipline.
