Job Description:
Caterpillar is looking for an Engineering Manager to support the Tucson Proving Ground (TPG) in Green Valley, Arizona. At Caterpillars Tucson Proving Ground (TPG), we test large mining and heavy construction machines to ensure that we deliver a quality product to our customers. When you join TPG as an Engineering Manager, you will be expected to provide leadership to the team responsible for working with Product Groups across Caterpillar to develop, set up, administer and machine tests at TPG to develop the products for our customers. You will continually learn and stay abreast of innovate technology, mentor and coach immediate work group and deepen your professional network.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
* Manage priorities of the team and the priorities of tests across TPG.
* Manage the departmental budget for the group.
* Mentor and coach the work group.
* Work with Product Group customers to forecast future test work and resource needs.
* Communicate test results to the Product Groups across the country and the world.
* Lead continuous improvement projects and support Lean efforts.
* Recruit engineering talent and host ERD / EDP as well as corporate intern engineer rotations at TPG.
BASIC QUALIFICIATION:
* An accredited Engineering degree or closely related technical degree
* 3+ years NPI/NTI and CPI development experience in engineering or leadership function
* 3 + years Project leadership experience

* Supervisory experience
* Prime product group experience
* Test engineer experience at Proving Grounds or Tech Center
