Group Proposal Consultant
Job Summary
The Proposal Consultant will be responsible for managing strategic RFPs and RFIs for Aflacs Group Life, Disability, and Absence Management products. The Proposal Consultant will work closely with our Sales and Underwriting teams to develop competitive proposals for RFP opportunities. The primary success for this role is delivery of quality proposals on time while putting the best of Aflac forward.
Responsibilities
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
The Proposal Consultant will be responsible for developing the full response package on all prospective customer opportunities.
Provide detailed product descriptions, create executive summaries, final quotes.
Reviews the RFP for standard and non-standard items and escalates appropriately.
Work with Sales and Underwriting to have strategy calls as needed.
Manages end-to-end RFP/RFQ and request timelines and ensures delivery of proposal package.
Manages all submission requirements including those for the public sector market including proposal, Terms/Conditions, agreements, contract reviews, MBW/WBE, IT assessments, assembly and delivery.
Promote differentiators of Aflacs Life, Disability and Absence Management products.
Provides feedback on content to maintain content updated.
Collaborates with subject matter experts to develop new proposal materials and content.
Models behavior in alignment with the Aflac Way.
Work in Salesforce to manage opportunities and workflow.
Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Minimum Required Bachelors degree or equivalent
Minimum Required 4 or more years of experience in Insurance, Absence Management, Disability, Sales, RFP, Sales/Pre-Sales, Sales Support area
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Knowledge & Skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong proficiency with MS Office Products
Knowledge of Life, Disability and Absence Management and Sales/Underwriting process
Experience with public sector/government RFPs/bids is a plus
Project Management skills and strong attention to detail
Knowledge of Qvidian software or other RFP management applications
Demonstrate effective research skills
