Position can be based in Houston, New York, New Jersey or Woodland Hills, CA

The Group Retirement (GR) Finance team is responsible for managing all aspects of the finance value chain for the GR segment within AIGs Life and Retirement business. This team works in close coordination with the GR actuarial team, FP&A, controllers and financial reporting teams, as well as the GR leadership team, to drive business outcomes.

The GR Finance Strategy lead will focus on identifying strategies to diversify earnings and optimize ROE for the Group Retirement business

Key responsibilities of this position include:

* Consider Potential Reinsurance solutions:
* In coordination with strategic reinsurance group, explore & implement options for high GMIR blocks
* Own cash flow modeling and assumption development
* Help evaluate alternative asset portfolios and deal structures

* Revenue & Earnings diversification:
* Quantify alternative approaches to mitigate impact of spread and margin compression
* Develop models to understand impact of multi-vendor consolidation and acceleration of transition to open architecture mutual fund platform
* Identify and model alternative sources of revenue through product or service expansion
* Consider alternative revenue / expense structures to reduce market-related earnings volatility

* Ad-hoc projects:
* Work with CIO team to optimize asset portfolio(s) to maximize earnings and reduce interest rate / credit risk
* Test and implement strategies to mitigate earnings / balance sheet volatility from LDTI

Candidate Profile:

* 10+ years of experience in Insurance industry, consulting or finance
* Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen as well as advanced project management and problem-solving skills
* Highly influential and able to flex leadership style according to the situation
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation development and delivery
* Aptitude to multitask, handling multiple projects simultaneously
* Must be able to make decisions after considering alternatives
* Collaborative working style a must
