We are looking for an experiencedand self-motivated individual to fill the position of ChemicalOperator with our Chemical Plant located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Essential JobDuties:

- Maintain protection of theenvironment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and thecommunities in which we operate and/or transport our products as our highestpriority.

- Conduct routine operatinginspections of the unit, troubleshoot operational problems and respond to areaemergencies or to changing operational situations.

- Operate equipment in the field andmonitor process operating conditions through the use of instrumentation toregulate temperatures, pressures, concentration and flow of chemicals throughthe process system for prescribed reaction with critical limits. All mustbe accomplished according to standard operating procedures and in support ofthe safe operation and environmental integrity of the plant.

- Maintain log of readings, labresults, shift production requirements and equipment issues to record dailyactivity and provide for adequate shift relief.

- Initiate work requests, performminor maintenance within capabilities and prepare equipment formaintenance.

- Prepare equipment for maintenancework such as locking out equipment, preparing permits and verifyingequipment.

- Make minor repairs to equipmentand initiate maintenance action when needed utilizing the SAP work notificationprocess.

- Notify supervision, maintenance,engineering and other auxiliary personnel regarding equipment malfunctions andtroubleshoot process issues as needed.

Qualifications

- High School diploma orcompleted GED.

- Process Technology Degree ORminimum of 2 years relevant work experience (e.g. production, loading, or unitmaintenance) in a chemical plant or manufacturing environment.

- Proficiency in math, readingcomprehension, and mechanical reasoning with strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.

- Ability to work a rotating shift;weekends; holidays; overtime; and respond to callouts.

- Ability and willingness to serveas member of Emergency Response Team.

- Ability to read, write and speakin English.

- Proficient in Microsoftapplications

- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skillsincluding the ability to work as part of a team.

- Physical requirements: Must beable to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending,stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipmentincluding the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual andaudible alarms.
