The Commercial Finance Lead is a highly visible role for a forward-thinking, agile, hands-on financial professional.
This person will provide financial leadership and business support for the target region. We are looking for a strong great teammate who brings business acumen, a passion for operational excellence, great attention to detail, and the ability to work with senior leadership across a worldwide organization in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Partnering: Act as trusted finance business partner for the commercial leader to provide P&L impact from business initiatives. Create analytical tools to help the commercial team better prioritize initiatives and maximize resources.
* Financial Management: Responsible for month-end close, accrual, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Identify trends, risks, opportunity, and drivers to ensure business deliver against the financial target. Establish a monthly cadence for financial review to ensure proper actions are taking as countermeasure if needed. Collaborate with functional leads and corporate colleagues to support and drive action plans to improve processes, automate/streamline functional reporting (using tools such as Oracle, Hyperion Financial Management and Hyperion Planning, PowerBI) to deliver better business insight.
* Decision Support: Influence leaders and team members on the prioritization of spending. Help the team to deliver against financial targets and prepare models to show investment impacts, initiatives, and influences decision making.
* Commercial Strategy: (Products and Segments): Conduct ongoing strategic product and segment margin and profitability review to increase awareness to the Commercial team and influence the right economic and growth-oriented decisions for the business.
* Leadership: Partner and lead across the team on improvement in execution and professional development. Promote cross-team collaboration and problem-solving.
* Cultivate functional partnership with business partners (Accounting, Sales Operations, Corp FP&A, Regional FP&A, Marketing, and Operations).
* This is a hands-on position with regular reporting and analysis requirements. Highly responsive to deliver high quality, accurate work products under tight time pressure.
* Understand sales funnel, backlog, and shipment to drive forecast accuracy and provide revenue growth outlook.
* Ability to create and develop ad-hoc financial modeling & analysis on Excel and/or HFM to provide meaningful insights & recommendations.
* Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or relevant subject area required
* 10+ years of business finance experience
* Previous responsibility for full P&L, analyzing revenue and gross margin, and develop insight.
* Possess the managerial courage to highlight adverse financial results and trends and offer proposed solutions to resolve
* Knowledge of financial and statistical modeling techniques
* Fluent in advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables and function formulas
* Strong planning, organization, project management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communications and ability to engage individuals at all levels of the organization
Preferred qualifications:
* MBA
* Prior Business Unit and P&L management experience strongly preferred
* Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
* Experienced with Oracle plus, and strong HFM experience preferred
