DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a dynamic, growing business unit within Amazon.com. Since early 2006, AWS has provided companies of all sizes with an infrastructure platform in the cloud. Using AWS, companies can requisition compute power, storage, and other services gaining access to a global computing infrastructure that is the backbone of Amazon.coms multi-billion dollar retail business. Today, AWS provides a highly reliable, scalable, low-cost infrastructure platform in the cloud that powers millions of active monthly customers from start-ups to multi-national corporations to governments.
AWS Perimeter Protection protects Amazon AWS, Amazon.com, and AWS customers ranging from startups to the worlds biggest brands against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and other internet application threats. Customers look to our three public services, AWS Shield, AWS WAF, and AWS Firewall Manager, for application protection, so that they can focus instead on building their business. By applying machine learning to automatically defend against evolving threats, we are raising the bar for application security. We build everything from hardware and software devoted to network packet inspection to globally distributed AWS services capable of absorbing the worlds largest attacks.
AWS Shield is a managed DDoS protection service that safeguards applications running on AWS. AWS Shield provides always-on detection and automatic inline mitigations that minimize application downtime and latency. We are seeking a General Manager to lead the AWS Shield business, owning product management, engineering, operations, and go-to-market strategy. The successful candidate will partner with product marketing, business development and sales to drive adoption and revenue of AWS Shield.
