As a part of our growth LKQ is looking for a dedicated and passionate Cut Pad Tech with knowledge of replacement parts for a Cut Pad Tech. Cut Pad Tech will prepare parts that need dismantling and or cutting into specified pieces by our body shop and mechanical repair customers. The Cut Pad Tech must have some prior and verifiable experience with automobiles and the essential elements of automobiles. The Cut Pad Tech will analyze and verify the correct instructions to provide product to customer/company. Essential Job Duties:

1\. Analyze and verification of correct instructions to provide product to customer or company.

2\. Perform functions of removing and cutting of body parts from vehicle with use of hand tools, either mechanical or manual.

3\. Prepare by tagging and/or marking and placing respected parts in proper location for either shipping or inventory in warehouse.

4\. Maintain a clean safe work environment.

5\. Utilization of required Personal Safety equipment always.

6\. Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by supervision.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience: High School or GED equivalent or working prior knowledge of automobiles disassembly with the use of hand tools, either mechanical or manual.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analyze work order or cut sheet as prepared by company or customer to insure proper removal of requested items from vehicle.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Safely perform duties in elements of climate either cold or warm, possibly dusty environment. Ability to physically lift minimum of 70lbs without use of additional help.

Qualifications: Prior and verifiable experience with automobiles and the essential elements of automobiles. Mechanical or Technical training relevant to automobile parts and structure preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, as well as an office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions

•  On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
