Facebook is seeking a Business Planning & Operations Manager who can work effectively with Facebooks Small Business Group leadership to drive strategic planning. Small Business Group serves millions of small businesses on Facebook. The mission of our Business Planning and Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization through analytics, strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We are looking for an expert in business strategy and operations, who uses an analytical, strategic, pragmatic, and results-oriented approach to drive the business forward all the while being an objective and trusted partner to the Small Business Group leadership team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, experience in working with stakeholders from business and technical backgrounds, the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a passion for operational rigor.
Business Planning & Operations Manager, Small Business Group Responsibilities
* Lead the annual and quarterly strategic planning process end-to-end with the support of your team and cross-functional partners
* Support management in strategic, operational planning and ensure decisions in line with overall Facebook and Small Business Group goals
* Establish operational excellence and ensure we have strong strategic plans and KPIs in place at a program and strategic priority level
* Manage and develop the talent on the team
* Provide business analytic expertise (e.g. revenue, market, competitive trends and insights) to help drive initiatives critical to ongoing growth
* Generate strategic recommendations and priorities based on both internal team and external market performance which includes but not limited to customer segment growth, business performance, product adoption, leading KPI indicators, goal vs. actuals
* Establish and lead strategic planning reviews and rhythm of the business to drive decision-making and review progress on goals and priorities impacting resourcing decisions (e.g. monthly/quarterly resourcing reviews)
* Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and cross-functional team such as Small Business Group leadership, marketing, operations, and finance teams
* Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization as needed
* Frame and break down complex business opportunities and problems into key components with recommend practical solutions to get results and meet resourcing gaps
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 12+ years of experience in operations management environments such as strategic planning, sales operations, marketing operations, etc. (or 10+ years experience with MBA or Master's degree)
* Experience problem solving, managing projects and utilizing analytical skills
* Experience as a leader, influencing and demonstrating organizational skills
* Experience communicating effectively and collaborating with different teams
* Demonstrated experience establishing ROB (Rhythm of Business) activities
* Communication and presentation experience to executives and audiences
* Experience driving projects from strategy to execution
Preferred Qualifications
* MBA
* Experience working with outsourced vendors
* Interest in supporting small businesses
