The Oculus Store Operations team works closely with VR developers to drive successful launches and ultimately connect them with Oculus consumers who are looking for the next big thing. We are seeking individuals who are motivated to work at the forefront of digital content distribution to help scale our app review operations. With the success of the Oculus Quest platform, the team is growing and has opened up a new role to lead the team responsible for reviewing all applications for compliance across technical requirements, data use policies, and content policies. They will support day-to-day operations, mentor the team for career growth, implement product and policy updates, and advocate internally for team and ecosystem needs. In addition, this individual will contribute to continued refinement opportunities for integrity, ethics, safety, and privacy standards for third party applications on the Oculus platform. In this position, the App Review & Integrity Manager will interface with internal teams such as Content, Policy, Legal, Communications, Marketing, and Engineering, as well as with external contacts that range from developers to experienced AAA publishers. A successful candidate for this role will have experience developing gold standards across platform policies and/or managing open platform application stores and the infrastructure upon which they run.
Oculus Content Launch Team - App Review & Integrity Manager Responsibilities
* Supervise testing process for third party submissions to the Oculus Store to ensure apps meet technical and content policy requirements, and are correctly configured in proprietary CMS
* Work closely with Policy, Privacy, Legal, and Comms teams to ensure Oculus Store policies are clearly communicated and applied fairly
* Anticipate and propose solutions for potential threats to the third party app ecosystem and user experience, including but not limited to application security and data use
* Drive improvements to internal tools and processes
* Gather information from domain experts for new products and features, maintain test plan and coordinate training for the App Review and Integrity team
* Support global developer community and drive education and awareness to deliver a best-in-class developer experience
* Advocate for up-and-coming titles
Minimum Qualifications
* 5+ years app store policy or app testing experience, with a focus on games
* 3+ years people management experience
* Communication skills, with experience documenting complex issues and build consensus on a course of action
* Developer advocate and proven experience helping app developers overcome challenges to help them succeed
* Meticulous attention to detail
* BA/BS degree
