Business Overview

We are the Streets leading Healthcare Corporate Banking (HC CBK) team, comprised of nine bankers and integrated with the Streets leading Healthcare Investment Banking team. The group covers more than 90 mid-and large-cap clients across BioPharma, MedTech, and Healthcare Services. HC CBK is focused on delivering the complete suite of corporate banking products and services to large corporates, notably capital raising and acquisition financing; corporate finance advice; FX, rates and commodity hedging; treasury solutions and wealth management services.

Role of Director in Healthcare CBK:

The Corporate Banking Director is responsible for covering a group of companies as primary or secondary relationship manager. In either capacity, the individual is responsible for delivering the full breadth of products and services to clients globally. As their career develops, the individual will gradually assume more primary coverage roles with clients. As a coverage banker, the candidate is expected to:

* Manage multi-product origination efforts across the range of corporate banking solutions and across the many geographies in which the bank operates

* Act as primary point of contact for clients and internal colleagues with respect to covered clients

* Lead capital-raising execution, including but not limited to loan, bond and convertible offerings

* Coordinate the development of client presentations, including pitch book, lender/investor presentations, internal commitment committee and capital approval memos, etc.; supervise the preparation and final work product

* Coordinate and build relationships with primary client teams as well as relevant client personnel across the enterprise; build relationships with product colleagues across the globe

* Develop junior resources in their work on various financial analyses and modeling, including capital structure analyses, company/industry research and peer benchmarking, among other exercises

* Lead client planning sessions and contribute regularly to regular group/product partner meetings

* Manage several projects at once and work effectively as a supervisor, as an individual and as a key member of a team

* Contribute to corporate banking-wide projects around client and employee engagement

Required Skills:

* At least 8+ years of experience in Corporate Banking or Investment Banking

* MBA degree with outstanding academic qualifications (or commensurate Corporate/Investment Banking experience)

* Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus

* Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and oral communications skills

* Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, team focus

* Dedication to building a career in the corporate banking industry

* Ability to manage and develop junior resources

Preferred Skills:

Experience in Corporate/Investment Banking, credit and/or leveraged finance; experience in healthcare and/or supporting global clients a plus.
