As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk or Independent Risk Management provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.

The Data Management Risk (DMR) Policy team promotes companywide management of data management risk through the data lifecycle via policy leadership and management, policy implementation and oversight, policy guidance and communication, and Front Line monitoring and oversight.

This position reports to the Head of the DMR Policy team, which has three key functions:

* Policy Lifecycle Management
* Initiatives/Engagements
* Policy Governance & Oversight

The DMR Policy Implementation Consultant will play a support role in creating and updating supplemental guidance and reviewing evidence that supports initial and on-going policy implementation.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

* Serving as a policy subject matter expert with the primary objective of providing an in-depth understanding of the Data Management Risk Oversight organization and related Data Management Risk Policy and standards that impact key stakeholder operations.

Key responsibilities of this function include:

* Serving as a point of contact and subject matter expert for concepts, definitions and standards contained in the DMR Policy, as well as addressing related feedback, questions and concerns
* Supporting monitoring of Data Management Risk Policy requirements through established routines and reporting
* Supporting communication routines to share information and strengthen relationships with other key stakeholders across the company (e.g. Data Management & Insights, Operational Risk Business Oversight, Testing and Validation, and other business groups)
* Participating in various policy management routines, including: requirements gathering, policy drafting, supporting review processes, providing feedback, creating overview decks, managing communications, conducing impact analyses, preparing implementation guidance and presenting information to stakeholders.
* Building and sustaining cross-functional relationships through consistent collaboration, and provide oversight through consultation and/or development of supplemental guidance to ensure successful implementation of policy requirements

Must be able to collaborate with all levels.
Aptitude to understand business operations and objectives.
Ability to think strategically and possess creative thinking.
Additionally, this individual will be expected to support Front Line targeted and ongoing oversight review routines, as needed

Required Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management demonstrated through work or military) or 1+ year in the foregoing or financial services industry and a BS/BA degree or higher in business or a related field

Desired Qualifications
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
* SharePoint experience

Other Desired Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will represent the following skills and experience:

* 2+ years of data management experience
* Data management experience, which may include a combination of risk management, compliance, data quality or data governance experience
* Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches
* Understanding of other data management risk principles
* Ability to understand, design, develop and document data related polices, standards, procedures, and processes
* Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in financial industry
* Ability to take initiative

Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.

NC-Charlotte: Min: $56,800 Mid: $80,000
