The X-Ray Tech is responsible for high-quality images in accordance with Riverside Medical Group's needs; the medical supervision is provided by the Medical Provider of the office. Must follow the policies and procedures of Riverside Medical Group; including but not limited to emergency, resuscitation, fire, OSHA, barrier precautions, HIPPA, security, and policies specific to X-Ray techs. Works cooperatively with physicians, the billing office, and other personnel

Primary Responsibilities:

* Maintains supplies and cleanliness of space restock supplies as needed. Notifies supervisor of any shortage of any supplies
* Assists the team in completion of special projects, reports, and activities
* Maintains cooperative and professional relationships with patients, physicians, nurses, office and clinical staff
* Demonstrates skill in equipment set-up, utilization and proper maintenance
* Performs visual and manual quality control checks of X-ray equipment including monitors used for routine dictation/reading of clinical images
* Uses imaging and peripheral equipment, in a safe and productive manner in accordance with prescribed departmental and manufacturer's procedures
* Observes and reports any malfunctioning of the equipment and notifies appropriate persons in case of missing or damaged equipment
* Follows standard radiologic procedures and ensures that all x-rays completed are of high quality
* Uses positioning and immobilizing devices to improve radiographic quality. Considers variety of protocols and rationale in determining radiographic positioning and technique

Required Qualifications:

* New Jersey state license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology
* Proficient with Microsoft office Products
* Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
* You will be provisioned with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and are required to perform this role with patients and members on site, as this is an essential function of this role

Preferred Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience as a Technician
* Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
