Lab Technician, AWL
As an Accelerated Weather Lab (AWL) Technician, you will perform routine and non-routine technical activities in support of durability testing of development project and production products for both domestic and global customers. Are you detail oriented and capable of working independently? Do you enjoy troubleshooting and addressing problems? If yes, this may be the role for you!
In this role you will:
  * Ensure that safety attitudes, procedures and housekeeping are accurate and maintained in all work areas and conduct work in a manner that protects self, co-workers, equipment, environment and safety of the community
  * Work independently with minimum supervision to operate, trouble shoot and perform minor repairs of weathering equipment in the Accelerated Weathering Lab (AWL)
  * Perform tests, to generate and record results to provide blind test result reports to all customers and dig into test units to identify any issues that arise
  * Accurately document detailed observations using specific defect terminology and communicate results in a timely manner
  * Process panels for atmospheric testing in Florida, verify all required data present, assign Exposure Study numbers, ship, and create files for shipped studies
  * Maintain records for Florida studies recalled by teams, return recalled panels to the Florida facility, record completed returned Florida studies, and maintain the Archive library
QUALIFICATIONS
  * H.S. Graduate required
  * Coursework in Chemistry, Science Laboratory and/or Math a plus.
  * Comfortable working with Color Portal, Excel and willing to learn rudimentary Access database skills.
The AWL lab technician will consistently demonstrate attention to detail, organization skills, flexibility, and relentlessly abide by instructions and procedures.
