Job Description

The Regional EHS Coordinator is an integral part of the regional EH&S leadership and for two manufacturing sites in Michigan! Serving as the main contact for all EH&S aspects, this role is based at the Adrian, MI manufacturing site and covers the Shelby Township, MI facility. The area manager has direct responsibility to inform, consult and guide the sites teams on matters of Environmental, Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish and maintain effective EHS processes aligned to regulations and corporate standards.
* Support environmental permitting and reporting in conjunction with the PPG Environmental Center of Excellence.
* Manage all aspects of Risk Management
* Advise and assist department managers/supervisors with EHS training, track its completion and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Track injuries and illnesses including follow-up with injured employees to develop corrective actions.
* Develop and implement programs to reduce EHS risks and to comply with regulatory and PPG corporate requirements and management systems.
* Plan, organize, schedule and facilitate Sites EHS Leadership Teams.
* Provides oversight and coordination of sites metrics and reporting.
* Provides incident and injury investigation and case management direction and oversight to the Sites.
* Provide oversight and guidance for process safety management covered processes on site.
* Evaluate EHS Impacts of projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.
* Provide oversight, audit readiness and guidance for compliance audits and corrective action management.
* Initiates and manages specific EHS projects

Qualifications:

* Bachelors Degree in Safety, Engineering or Science with 7+ years of industrial experience in the environmental, health or safety area.
* Proven leadership and organization ability, possess good problem solving skills and be an effective written and oral communicator.
* Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry and EPA regulations strongly desired.
* Knowledge in areas of industrial ergonomics, workers compensation and disability management, and industrial hygiene is desired.
* Previous experience in developing and implementing plant Health and Safety programs is desired.
* Knowledge of PSM a plus.
