As a Security Engineer you will work closely with softwareengineers from the various cloud service teams to build a secure architecturethat is fundamentally sound and efficient. Your influence over the design ofthe full system architecture is critical. You should be familiar with securityat all levels of the software, hardware, and network stack; while beingexceptionally deep in a few. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for thechallenges of securing complex, massive systems are a must. You should valuesimplicity and usability as well as security and work comfortably in acollaborative, agile environment.

Things youll do:

* Drive and champion security tool development (e.g. scanningtools)

* Consult software development teams in design and architecture ofsecure systems

* Identify areas of improvement through threat modeling and otheranalysis

* Champion and consult on secure development life-cycle practices

* Prototype and design security solutions for new and challengingproblems

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or relatedfield

* 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related fieldor equivalent experience

* Experience working in a large cloud or Internet software companypreferred

* Strong application/product/software security background

* Experience in two of the following areas:

** Defensive security

** Offensive security

** Architecting security solutions

Additional qualifications for particular role:

* Web application security engineer:

- Expert in web application vulnerabilities and mitigation beyondthe OWASP Top 10

- Expert in web browser security

- Expertise in federation protocols (SAML, OAuth)

* Network security engineer:

- Experience building network security architectures for complexglobal networks

- Expertise in large-scale routing (BGP, route reflectors)

* Database security engineer:

- Expertise in Oracle database security capabilities (Oracle DB,Exadata, MySQL, NoSQL)

- Expert in database security

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.
