What's the role?

Were looking for an experienced backend engineer to build out new capabilities that focus on providing an outstanding experience for our Money Movement platform! You will have the opportunity to help build the platform and services using cutting edge tools and technologies in order to get the job done. As a senior software engineer, you will work in an agile and innovative environment, solving sophisticated problems and collaborating with architects and other engineers to deliver the platform.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

* Demonstrates technical leadership to team.
* Establishes, aggregates, and shares team standards within department.
* Utilizes working relationships across teams within their division.
* Assesses and provides solutions to system-wide architectural problems.

What this role needs:

* Public cloud experience
* Ability to analyze, design, develop, and deploy web apps and micro services hosted within Public cloud infrastructure.
* 5+ years of development experience in modern programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Node, or Python.
* Experience building robust and easy to consume RESTful APIs.
* Self-motivated and driven.
* An excellent teammate that effectively works well with other engineers, product owners, and non-technical roles.
* Familiarity with DevOps tools and modern deployment practices (e.g. Docker, Git).
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work with a limited set of requirements.
* Working knowledge of core computer science concepts in programming languages, databases, security, and networking

Further impress us with:

* Experience in building distributed systems with complex interactions
* Strong JavaScript experience building backend NodeJS micro-services
* Experience with Kafka and message streaming architecture
* Experience crafting and maintaining GraphQL services
* Proficiency in test driven development, with experience using unit testing frameworks
* DevOps tools with an Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform)
* Knowledge of engineering standard methodologies; including analyzing, designing, developing, deploying and supporting software solutions and infrastructure.
* Knowledge of Payment Platforms
