Northrop Grumman is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to join our team. This position will be located at our Sunnyvale, CA campus. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Information Technology support team. The successful candidate would be responsible for maintaining a smooth operation of Windows based networks. Propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage. Create and update appropriate documentations, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and security analysis to meet DoD security standards.

Roles and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

bull; Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with internal or external customers, in written and oral format
bull; Maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and customer and IT management
bull; Support multiple networks. Ensure necessary administration tasks are completed; direct others as necessary.
bull; Analyze internal or external customer requirements and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems
bull; Recommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management
bull; Provide backup and recovery services; manage file systems and disk space; manage virus protection on a routine basis
bull; Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify file permissions and security access list
bull; Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact
bull; Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed
bull; Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components
bull; Interact, meet, discuss, and troubleshoot issues with vendors; evaluate vendor products, services, and suggestions
bull; Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines in all cases
bull; Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security
bull; Report project status as required for all recurring and non-recurring efforts
bull; Design and maintain network communications systems
bull; Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture as needed
bull; Lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds
bull; Work after hours and weekends as needed

Qualification

Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:

bull; Associate 39;s degree and 7 years of experience OR Bachelor rsquo;s degree and 5 years of experience OR Master 39;s degree and 3 years of experience OR 9 years of related experience in lieu of completed degree.
bull; IAM Level I certification (ex: Security+ CE) or greater or ability to obtain with 6 months of start date
bull; Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as condition of continued employment
bull; Experience with Microsoft communications platforms (Skype for business, exchange 2016, AD federation services)
bull; Experience with infrastructure software (McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Sophos Enterprise Console, Carbon Black, Forecpoint, Tableau, IIS Reverse Proxies, VMWare)
bull; Experience managing Windows Server OS (2016/2019) and domain architecture
bull; Ability to support multiple networks, ensure necessary administration tasks are completed, and direct others as necessary.

bull; Associate 39;s degree and 11 years of experience OR Bachelor rsquo;s degree and 9 years of experience OR Master 39;s degree and 7 years of experience OR 13 years of related experience in lieu of completed degree.
