A Shift (Day Shift)

Sunday-Tuesday 6am-6pm; Wednesday 6am-12pm

Objective: Monitors movement of tile trhough the selection process

Major Functions & Scope:

* Select finished tile based on shades and quality criteria (first choice, second choice, waste)
* Restart selection line when it stops clear jams, clear boxes, clear labels and stickers)
* Feed materials onto selection line (boxes, labels, stickers, glue, wax, pallets)
* Re-select tile following production problems
* Print tickets for pallets
* Inspect finished pallets with respect to correct labels, codes, stickers; move pallets off of line.
* Set up printers according to stacker settings
* Keep work area clean and safe, and put tools and supplies in designated storage areas

Education & Knowledge

High school dipolma or GED required.

Experience:

0-1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies:

Basic math skills, organization skills, detail oriented, and safety conscious. Ability to understand and speak basic English.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
