Summary of the Job:

This position will report to the Director, U.S. Strategy and Business Channels, and will be responsible for analyzing competitor pricing, matched with market expectations, to determine the ideal target price for products of the business.

This individual will be required to work collaboratively across the US commercial organization to develop aligned, cohesive, integrated pricing strategies designed to drive above market growth on a long-term basis.

This will ensure alignment with key stakeholders, such as Companion Animal/Equine and Livestock Business leadership, marketing leaders, as well as, other key US Commercial teams and leadership.

Essential Accountabilities:

Work collaboratively with business units across species to develop pricing strategy, conduct robust analyses to set pricing actions and execute to achieve business goals

* Develop an efficient and dynamic pricing process and align on pricing tools to be used across the organization
* Based on internal and external analyses, set de-averaged pricing decisions and rebate strategy that focuses on net margin impact for key brands
* Analyze and track industry and competitor pricing activities as well as consumer spending habits
* Set and monitor key success metrics across pricing and rebates (including margin), forecast impact and provide updates to leadership
* Work cross-function (including sales, marketing, supply, finance and channel) to ensure pricing outcomes meeting company strategy and goals
* Evolve data science capabilities over time to leverage AI/ML algorithms to drive more sophisticated pricing approaches
* Identify operational enhancements to continuously improve pricing and rebate processes / tools
* Lead pricing-related projects and establish timelines for data reporting/trending and pricing opportunities across all customer segments
* Evaluate the cost of production of various items, profit, and associated costs of marketing

Minimum Qualifications:

Background & Education:

* Bachelors Degree required: Masters Degree/MBA preferred

Required Skills/Abilities:

* Minimum 10 years relevant experience in finance, operations, research, statistics, math, economics, or related analytical discipline, preferably within Animal Health industry.
* Strong financial acumen and budget planning skills
* Ability to effectively influence key stakeholders and Business unit leads, and drive business decisions
* Strong collaboration skills and ability to successfully partner cross functionally with all business units, regulatory, legal and finance.
* Expertise in pricing analysis and strategy
* Advanced written and verbal communication
* Computer proficiency including MS Office, iPad and web applications

Preferred Skills/Abilities:

* Prior Animal Health industry experience (broad and in-depth knowledge of the market, products, and competitive environment)
