Senior Programmer
SOUTHFIELD, MICHIGAN LEAR WORLD HEADQUARTERS
As a member of the Lear Production Systems (LPS) Internal Software Development team, this position will be responsible for contributing to a real time production dashboard and efficiency metric systems, doing both systems and data analysis as well as designing/writing/testing code to resolve issues as they are discovered.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
* Software development on the Microsoft C platform.
* Systems analysis, design, coding and testing for real time production dashboard system.
* Observe user feedback to recommend improvements to the existing system.
* Analyze existing data and perform data gap analysis with the goal of improving advanced metrics.
* Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and client requirements for software.
* Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company.
* Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address customer and company concerns.
* Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions.
Your Qualifications:
* One plus years of experience with the LPS systems and understanding the of the underlying data.
* Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and a deep understanding of the role they play on the shop floor and what the data they generate means.
* Understanding and experience on the Lear shop floor.
* Deep background mathematics and modeling.
* Masters degree or higher.
Bonus If You Have:
* PLC Programing experience
* Any controls experience
* Experience in networking
