What does a great Software DevOps Engineer, Tech Lead do at Fiserv?

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer, to join their fast pace / cutting-edge group, to assist in many of the day-to-day tasks critical to the overall success. We need someone who can support and design of CI/CD pipeline, infrastructure as code, scripting to automate service delivery and platform support. Youll be responsible for maintaining knowledgebase / run-book, troubleshooting, general assistance with projects, and after-hours support.

In this role, you will:

Drive technical innovation and efficiency in both on-prem and cloud infrastructure operations via automation.

Write and maintain scripts required for platform support and service delivery.

Assist with the creation and maintaining of a single pane of glass for comprehensive monitoring of platform.

Work with development, QA, L2 and FTS in resolving issues and proactively ensuring the platform is secure, scalable and highly available for our customers.

Facilitate after-hours deployment and troubleshooting as needed.

Become thoroughly familiar with all compliance and security requirements, adhering to all policy and standards, adapting to CI/CD platform as needed.

Promptly complete administrative tasks as required such as time reporting, project status tracking and billable requests.

Communicate effectively and appropriately, deferring to management on communicating with external teams as needed.

Proactively monitor performance of all components within the platform and work with operations, FTS, professional services and development to investigate performance issues and potential capacity bottlenecks.

Basic qualifications for consideration:

Bachelors Degree or high school diploma/GED

Minimum of five years hands-on experience with build and deployment of AWS Platform and Services including but not limited to Compute (Lambda, EC2, Batch), Security (IAM, WAF, Secrets Manager), VPC, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, S3, RDS, ELK, API Gateway, Cloud Formation

Hands on experience with scripting languages like Powershell, Python, Groovy, Javascript

Significant experience with CI/CD tools and technologies (Jenkins)

Capable of writing infrastructure as code templates (YAML, json, etc.)

Demonstrated experience in source control using GIT/TFS and working knowledge of puppet and/or Ansible;

Demonstrated Powershell/ssh scripting and automating daily tasks;

Demonstrated Windows and Linux server administration skills, software installations, application of patches, management of file systems, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting alerts
