Dairy Sales Specialist/Consultant- New York

We're hiring a Dairy Sales Specialist/Consultant position to join our New York Dairy Sales Team! This position will focus in the Central and Western portion of NY State (From Auburn to Caledonia) with a primary focus in adult cow and replacement heifers. In this role, you will be responsible for consulting with large dairy producers to improve production capabilities and profits through sales of feed components & programs

Responsibilities include:

* Develop strategies to increase the market share and impact of proprietary technology and products.

* Monitor and document production and profitability improvements for producers implementing program and product recommendations

* Maintain a high level of proficiency and competency in nutrition, production management, and sales

* Provide strategic and tactical planning skills necessary to provide solutions-based selling of value-add technologies

* Build relationships with dairy influencers (vets/independent nutritionists)

Experience/Education:

* Bachelors Degree required; Masters, PhD, DVM desired; preferably nutrition focused

* 2+ years experience in dairy production-young animal growth to adult cow performance

* Priority given to candidates with previous sales/consulting experience with large influential dairies

* Requires daily travel in an assigned geography with up to 20% overnight travel depending upon candidate location

* Demonstrated experience using a dairy management/records system
