Business Analyst II - Regulatory Quality Analyst - Fair Lending

Upholding the highest standards of data accuracy, completeness and transparency is mission critical to JPMorgan Chase External Reporting Controllers. The associate on Home Lending Regulatory Reporting Controllers Team will play a key role in managing reporting requirements and preparing monthly and quarterly reports to federal regulators including Federal Reserve Board (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC).

The associate will be responsible for analyzing large sets of loan level data, evaluating and translating reporting instructions into sound and quality data, building and improving analytical review process, creating and maintaining documentations on data governance and change control procedures.

The associate will work collaboratively with team members and a wide range of partners from the line of business, technology, MIS and Risk on a regular basis and participate high profile assignments within Home Lending.

We are looking for a leader in the financial regulatory reporting area who has the unique combination of strong technical and interpersonal skills to drive the continuous data improvement.

The individual will have a deepened understanding of the Home Lending business in order to effectively evaluate and analyze the data in relation to the business results and other externally reported information.

Supports Home Lending External Reporting through the following:

* Deep dive analysis of the data to ensure accuracy of reporting
* Comfortable analyzing and manipulating medium to large datasets
* Responsible for detailed documentation of Requirements/Requirement interpretation
* Conduct data research to triage issues, identify root cause and recommend solutions to fix data defects
* Work with other teams (UAT Testing, HL Business, AWM Business, Finance & Risk etc.) to identify data issues and improve data quality for CCAR files
* Analysis, documentation and tracking on data elements data quality issues

Qualification

* Strong communication skills across all levels of management
* Strong SQL skills with the potential to learn other technical skills (Python, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
* Strong judgment, professional maturity, personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive and results-oriented, fact based
* Works well in an ever-changing business environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced formulas), Word, and Power Point
* Ability to think independently, the ability to solve problems, curiosity to explore unknowns
* 5+ years of experience in data, analytics or related technical roles
* Solid understanding of enterprise data structures, data manipulation, data quality management

Desired Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
* Mortgage Banking experience preferred
* Experience with delivering solutions through agile methodologies and new technologies
