Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Operations and Maintenance, the Intern, Technical Analyst demonstrates an entrepreneurial passion for renewable energy development opportunities within the commercial sector and is responsible for solar fleet performance and overseeing a portfolio of distributed C&I solar projects. He or she is responsible for assisting in the monitoring system production and directing corrective actions as required, utilizing both internal and external resources to ensure the safe and efficient operations, maintenance, and repair of all projects in their fleet. The ability to work independently and as a team member are critical, as well as the desire and innovative mind set to operate as an important contributor within a fast-pace, early stage company environment.
The role will begin as 8-10 weeks internship program (June 7 August 13), approximately 25 hours/wk with the opportunity to transition to full-time employment upon successful completion.
Primary Responsibilities
* Assist in the developing and maintaining relationships with O&M vendors to ensure optimal performance for the fleet.
* Assist in managing internal and external field service resources to maximize service efficiency and minimize site downtime.
* Assist in managing and delivering internal and customer facing reports for the projects under supervision.
* Support in maintaining site warranty databases and ensure compliance with warranty requirements.
* Support the team in the integration of new assets into fleet and streamline asset handover process.
* Assist in recording and maintaining internal documents and records of customer requests, work or services performed, inventory, and other O&M information.
* Assist in preparing and tracking maintenance schedules. Provide updates to management and O&M team.
Basic Qualifications
Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking and thrive in the fast pace of a rapidly growing, early stage company. In addition, the Intern, Technical Analyst must possess:
* Perusing a bachelors degree in Engineering or related field
* Must be a rising collegiate senior by summer 2021
* Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.5 or above)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
* Strong organizational and scheduling skills to manage the activities of internal and external resources
* Advanced customer interface skills required
* Able to read and understand engineering drawings
