The Manufacturing Cost Planning Analyst is responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, actuals reporting, and analytical support for OCOGS (Other Cost of Goods Sold). By analyzing all the financial info related to OCOGS, the Analyst will work closely with the BU finance teams and Corporate FP&A to communicate cost updates and provide analytical highlights. As such, the role servers as a key interlock point between the manufacturing sites, Global ops teams, BU finance teams as well as Corporate FP&A.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide monthly near term forecast, and quarterly strategic forecast for indirect product costs and manufacturing variances (OCOGS).
* Conduct period end actual vs. forecast variance analysis, especially as it relates to manufacturing variances, reserves, and inventory capitalization.
* Assist with Inventory forecast and related variance analysis.
* Drive standardization across disparate financial practices and consolidation methodologies.
* Establish and maintain a pulse on the operational risks and opportunities to proactively report deviations to the forecast.
* Automation and improvements to our processes/models/reports.
* Ad hoc requests assigned by managers.

REQUIRED:

* 5-10 years of FP&A experience
* Manufacturing cost experience considered a plus
* Good analytic, presentation, and communication skills
* Must be very organized and thorough
* Experience with complex financial models
* Strong Excel background
* Fast and eager learner
