As a Senior Analyst on the Trade Performance team in Revenue Growth Management, you will provide complex and comprehensive analysis for strategies and events related to customer funding for an assigned portfolio of brands within our Grocery & Snacks business. This may include analysis in price strategy, promotions strategy and realization, and trade operations. Analyze customer-specific market trends, product volume, margin and competitor prices, and promotional tactics, and provide recommendations to internal partners to help manage in-market execution as it relates to trade tactics, pricing changes and opportunities at specific customers. Review promotional programs to understand event profitability and make recommendations to achieve greater balanced Return On Investments (ROIs), driving incrementality while optimizing trade spend. You will report to a Director of Trade Performance.
Position Responsibilities
* Partner with the sales organization to guide planning solutions and trade efficiencies linked to our retailer specific promotional plans
* Bring visibility, transparency, and analytical rigor to pricing and trade promotions, working in partnership with Pricing Strategy, Analytics/Insights, Business Planning, and Sales/Brand Finance
* Develop insights using appropriate analytical tools to improve margins and grow topline for both Conagra Brands and our retail partners
* Analyze pricing and merchandising impacts across different customers and regions
* Help build our measurements for pricing and trade with the Pricing Strategy team
* Create and distribute price impact reporting to our Brand and customer teams
* Work with Pricing Strategy to refine pricing and trade strategies for important brands based on trade promotion analysis
* Play important role in the review of pricing and trade analytics with senior leadership, Brand, Business Development, and sales partners
* Prepare business reviews for monthly review with senior leadership, Brand, and Business Development
* Help with ad hoc requests related to promotional planning and detailed event level analysis
* Implement promotional review tool updates and enhancements
* Help manage vendors for completion of analytical research
Position Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 3+ years in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry with experience consisting of [trade] analytics, business development, category management, or finance
* Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for pivot tables, spreadsheet development, and automation
* Experience with IRI or Nielsen data
* Experience explaining statistical concepts to a non-technical audience by breaking down complexity, and constructing and communicating a story across organizational levels
* Knowledge of retail merchandising and in-store execution tactics
* Understand how to fuse third-party and internal data, and the importance of accurate data
