JOB SUMMARY
Translate what you learned from your college textbooks into a rewarding Financial Systems internship. You will gain a broad overview of the multiple aspects of the Financial Systems process by observing and assisting Financial Systems professionals, as well as performing a variety of duties in support of various departments. Training will be provided on various software systems and CBRE policies and procedures.
Assist in providing support and technical assistance to users for complex issues related to a variety of software applications while meeting defined service level expectations. Assist in identifying issues, researches causes and provides solutions for Financial Reporting and Real Estate Management teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responds to requests for assistance with a variety of accounting software packages used by Financial Reporting services and Real Estate Management teams. Documents issues, resolution or other actions using incident management system.
Reviews customer requests to identify and escalate as needed potential system, security, and/or compliance violations of internal and external controls and internal team control requirements.
Identifies process and system improvements and implements solutions that will increase efficiencies and customer satisfaction by using established processes to initiate a new project/work effort.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's (BA/BS) program from an accredited four-year college or university in MIS, computer science, or related discipline. Third-year student status preferred.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and business documents and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to effectively respond to common inquiries in a professional and appropriate manner. Requires intermediate knowledge of technical terms and principles. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and work with different softwares.
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills. Ability to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to routine issues. Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and openness to new ideas and procedures. General experience with MS Office software

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to comprehend, analyze, and solve problems in standard and non-standard situations involving several options. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas. Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail, and openness to new ideas and procedures.

May develop, recommend, and implement improvements in department efficiencies, process, procedure, and/or policy. Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
