DESCRIPTION

Thirty one of Wonderys shows have reached 1 on Apple Podcasts, and Wondery is the only publisher to have simultaneously claimed the 1 and 2 Top New Podcasts slots on an annual Podtrac ranker. In 2020, Wondery launched the Wondery app, its new direct-to-consumer product offering the companys Wondery+ premium service, providing our fans with a new premium listening experience.
Preparing and producing interview episodes for shows with the Current Series team, including Business Wars, Even the Rich, American Innovations, American History Tellers, American Scandal, and others
Proposing and booking guests for interview episodes
Conducting pre-interviews
Coordinating tape syncs, studio sessions and remote self-recording
Creating background packet/research for host
Crafting questions, scripting host copy
Editing and mixing episodes as needed
Tailoring interview episode format to suit individual shows
Hiring and managing freelance interview producers as needed
Analyzing metrics to make data-driven decisions that will grow listening audience
Serving as resource to hosts, guests and show producers
Producing branded interview episodes as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree
2+ years of experience as an assistant at a studio or production company
1+ years of on-set physical production experience
1+ years of experience in writing or producing long-form narrative, particularly in the audio space
Strong writing, editing and research skills
BA is required
Experience with character-driven narrative storytelling, scene setting, and dialogue writing
Experience writing for the ear
Ability to craft a series arc across multiple episodes
Understanding of what makes a story relatable, dramatic and interesting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong writing, editing and research skills
4+ years experience as an audio producer on an interview-based show
Mastery of audio editing software (ProTools or Audition)
An ability to convey complex information and stories in a clear and engaging way for listeners.
Ability to work across multiple areas business, history, science, pop culture, etc.
