The Treasury Technology team has an opportunity to be part of something big! Come work with the Treasury and Risk Management teams, our expanding technology organization of Product Managers, TPMs, and Engineers to support automation and build scale into our systems and processes. Our team builds productivity tools in lieu of hiring additional operational headcount. The Treasury Technology team is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to develop and support Treasury business intelligence, operations reporting and management systems.
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer will drive development of reporting and analytics use-cases for the Treasury organization; and produce reports and analyses for decision making, metrics management and more. The role will involve translation of business problems into data problems; obtain the required data by working with other engineering teams; produce reporting; and provide forward-looking recommendations.
The candidate is expected to possess industry best practices for building reporting solutions for a Treasury organization. The candidate must have extensive experience with modelling, writing optimized SQL queries, integrating Python/R extensions, and hands-on development and management of Tableau workbooks/flows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required as the candidate will work very closely with a diverse, global team. Ability to create and manage work plans, timelines and accommodate multiple priorities is required.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Build and manage Tableau workbooks/flows
Be the Tableau support engineer for a managed Tableau site for Treasury
Optimize and organize data pipelines into the visualization environment
Collaborate with business users on requirements, objectives and measures
Access and use analytical tools/extensions (various databases on Amazons data, SQL, Python, R)
Provides input and recommendations on technical issues data engineering and software engineering teams
Reviews technical work of other team members, provide improvement advice
Significantly contribute to data design, data modelling and data extracts/transforms
Develop implementation and operation support plans for Tableau
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, or related discipline
7+ years of professional experience working with Tableau and other BI tools
5+ years of relevant Treasury experience in a BI Engineer role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Relevant experience in business intelligence or business analyst role, including data warehousing and business intelligence tools, techniques and technology
Advanced analytical skills and is detail-oriented, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
Data engineering credentials; working knowledge of a programming language (JAVA/PYTHON/SCALA)
Effective verbal and written communication to senior audiences, including strong data presentation and visualization skills
Experience working with cloud database technologies such as Amazon Redshift or RDS
Experience creating forecast models and projections using Python, R, and other extensions in Tableau
Experience managing a Tableau site and troubleshooting dashboard/site performance
Proficient, professional, in-depth working knowledge of Tableau, Tableau Prep, Tableau Server, Python, R, SQL
Strong data reporting and visualization experience with the ability to tell a story and drive analytics solutions
