AFSIM Modeling and Simulation Analyst

Key Role:

Perform multi-domain kill chain analytical assessments to aid in defining system requirements, identifying interdependencies, and evaluating system-of-system concepts combat effectiveness in operationally relevant scenarios and vignettes. Work with weapon system developers, the operational community, and the intelligence community to assess the combat effectiveness of future combat system concepts. Apply engineering judgement combined with subject matter expert opinions to fully define the concept and its integration into the planned future force structure to perform the analytical analysis. Identify and assess potential Concepts of Employment and Concepts of Operation (CONEMPS/CONOPS). Develop analysis matrix and identify measures of merit applicable to the concept of interest. Develop the concept within the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) simulation framework, verifying its performance against stated capability description documents. Execute the analysis matrix, capturing simulation outputs and post-processing the data to transform raw simulation results into key analytical insights.

Basic qualifications:

* 2+ years of experience with analytical simulation
* Experiencing with performing analytical assessments in the AFSIM framework
* Knowledge of constructive modeling and simulation
* Ability to follow Operations Research (OR) principles, theories, and concepts to draft and execute study plans
* Ability to obtain a security clearance
* BA or BS degree

Additional qualifications:

* Experience with modeling multi-domain system-of-system concepts
* Experience with modeling each component of a kill chain, including find, fix, target, track, engage, and assess
* Experience with C++, Python, Perl, or MATLAB
* Experience with a UNIX or Linux command-line environment, including shell scripting
* Knowledge of modern US and threat multi-domain combat weapon systems
* Knowledge of areas of Electronic Warfare missions, Cyber Operations, Space
* Knowledge of aerodynamic systems, orbital mechanics, signal processing, sensor systems or integrated air defense systems (IADS)
* Active security clearance
* MA or MS degree
