Multi-Functional Manufacturing Manager (Level 5)
The manager will be responsible for planning daily activities, sequencing, assigning work to support required goals and objectives for F-35 and F-16 canopy programs. Candidate must have exceptional people-skills and drive program performance on all aspects of quality, cost, and schedule. The role will lead a team of approximately 65 employees with a focus on canopy flow operations. The manager should have a continuous improvement mindset and be able to lead change with technical or business processes. Candidate must be able to work across different business functions and manage budgets in order to drive success. The role is responsible for tracking metrics to drive improvement, corrective actions, identify risk mitigation actions, and solving complex problems across the F-35 and F-16 programs. The manager will be responsible for all staffing, training, development, and rate transition items for their area of responsibility. Basic Qualifications:
- Experience managing large teams and adhering to a budget.
- Experience in manufacturing/productions methodologies relating to structural assemblies across multiple product lines.
- Proven ability to lead teams both formally and informally to drive business results
- Experience presenting to Senior Leadership Teams
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point).
Desired Skills:
- Ability to make timely decisions and understand the financial impacts of decisions and actions of the team.
- Technical and strategic leadership abilities; must drive actions to meet or exceed customer satisfaction.
- Experience in business metrics to drive performance (i.e. quality cost, schedule).
- Experience in multiple functional disciplines (Logistics, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, etc.)
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing concepts and implementation
- Experience in manufacturing/productions methodologies relating to structural assemblies across multiple product lines.
- Experience with LM organizational environment to include production engineering, manufacturing engineering, production control, and industrial engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly skilled in verbally communicating objectives and requirements.
- Degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
