The Senior Specialist of Vaccines Portfolio Marketing and Confidence is responsible for developing research strategies including agile focused approaches that provide customer insight and market perspective in support of our Company's Vaccines Portfolio Marketing and Confidence Strategies. This individual is a strategic partner to the Vaccines Portfolio Marketing and Confidence Team and other internal clients, and is responsible for understanding the clients' business challenges and for managing market research to guide the development of assets and integrating those findings across audiences for U.S. & Global markets. This individual is expected to interact with multiple internal and external groups and influence decision-making at a brand and franchise level on key issues including payer, physician and consumers. The Senior Specialist will support Digital Engagement Teams and will employ agile research methods to meet the teams goals.

The Successful Candidate:

* Works collaboratively with other members of the Global Customer Insight Vaccines team in support of the Vaccines Portfolio. Integrates insights across different audiences.

* Demonstrates proven ability to influence decisions based on insight.

* Translates research findings into business implications and integrates a variety of sources/studies to present strategic options to the franchise teams actively participates in follow-on sessions and facilitates decision-making.

* Will leverage a strong understanding of both consumer and physician market research with marketing in synthesizing and applying research insights to influence marketing strategy and identify opportunities.

* Engages stakeholders in discussion of full range of recommendations, and advocates for appropriate actions to be taken to positively impact the business.

* Possesses strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently and deal well with ambiguity.

* Independently manages competing priorities and demands.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Responsible for understanding the team's business issues and opportunities in order to develop analytical and market research solutions to drive business results.

* Requires a strong understanding of Primary Market Research methodologies, Syndicated Reports and secondary data that can be leveraged across audiences.

* Articulates the rationale, hypotheses, and methodology of research approaches to a franchise. Client teams, influences a wide range of stakeholders to follow the research plan and make timely decisions based on recommendations.

* Partners with Digital Engagement Team Members including User Experience Design, User Interface Design, Content Strategy, Integrated Technology and others to prioritize research opportunities and align on appropriate methodologies.

* Actively contributes in working sessions around the design/development of Personas, Customer Journey Maps, Experience Plans.

* Communicates with and aligns a wide range of internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, our Research & Development Division, Market Access, and Centers of Excellence) and external agencies to execute research and align around the findings and recommendations.

* Maintains and encourages full compliance with our Company's policies and procedures.

Education Minimum Requirements:

* Required: BA/BS

* Strongly Preferred: MBA/MS or MPH

Required Experience and Skills:

* Well-developed analytical skills, strong problem-solving and demonstrated ability to think strategically and objectively.

* Orientation toward collaboration and teamwork, ability to lead teams in execution of Market Research, interest in ongoing learning.

* Ability to work independently, communicate effectively and a strong desire to lead change in terms of developing Best Practices.

* Strong working knowledge of Pharmaceutical Market Research with a total of 3 years of relevant experience in related functions (including Sales, Marketing, Marketing/Sales Support) and a good working knowledge of the US Healthcare Environment.

* On-site in our Upper Gwynedd, PA location a minimum of four days per week.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

* Experience working in a multi-product franchise.

* Experience in Vaccines (either in market research or related functions) is highly desirable.

* Experience in Vaccines Public Health Policy or related areas.

* Knowledge of Behavioral Sciences.

* Thorough understanding of marketing principles (our Company's Marketing) and their application across different stages of the product life cycle and customer segments.

* Prior experience with innovative HCC and HCP research methods a plus.
