The Global IT Governance, Risk and Compliance team exists to help ensure that Corporate IT is mitigating IT related business and IT risk, including but not limited to the following:
* Non-compliance with external laws and regulations as well as internal policies.
* Increased costs due to further audit scrutiny, control remediation and risk mitigation
* Inability to manage IT related business risks, leaving gaps within our internal control environment that expose SHW to loss through fraud, human error, etc.
The Global IT Governance, Risk and Compliance Analyst is responsible for the following activities:
Help identify risk within SHW business and IT processes as well as oversee the design, implementation and effectiveness of IT application and general controls within the applications supported by Corporate IT with a spotlight on compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
Work as the primary liaison with business process owners and Internal Audit on the remediation of IT related audit issues within the applications supported by Corporate IT.
Assist with IT governance, risk/ controls and compliance effort during system conversions or implementations, which includes data conversions, end user security and IT application or general controls.
Essential Functions
Strategy and Planning
* Assist with facilitating meetings and delegate follow-up to ensure resulting action.
Acquisition and Deployment
* Act as a liaison between the business process owners, system end users and information technology resources on all things related to IT governance, risk/controls and compliance, turning business requirements into functional requirements.
* Plan and organize tasks, report progress, and coordinate with consultants.
* Participate in post-project or enhancement analysis to reflect upon successes, failures and lessons learned.
Operational Management
* Execute tasks using Oracle Advanced Controls (OAC) and other applications, including
* Generate user access reports that enable SHW to assess its employees with access to sensitive functions as well as incompatible segregation of duties. In addition, help SHW use these reports to assess the design of functions, menus, profile options, responsibilities, and other logical assess controls built into the applications supported by Corporate IT.
* Understand key configurations within the applications supported by Corporate IT and monitor controls to identify unauthorized or unintentional changes.
* Execute transactional reports that enable business process owners to identify anomalies or unauthorized transactions within the applications supported by Corporate IT.
* Suggest improvements that leverage Oracle Advanced Controls (OAC) functionality for the global Oracle eBS environments.
* Assess, test and / or execute key IT general controls within or supporting the applications managed by Corporate IT, including processes impacting change management, logical access and IT operations.
* Assess, test and / or execute key IT application controls within the applications managed by Corporate IT, which turn manual, financial or operational controls into automated controls less prone to human error, manipulation, etc.
* Assist internal and external audit with process walkthroughs, control testing, risk mitigation and remediation efforts.
Incidental Functions
* Prepare and lead presentations as requested.
* Assist with other projects to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
* Up to 10% travel as required (domestic and international)
* Work outside the standard office 7.5 hour work day may be required.
Position Requirements
Formal Education & Certification
* Bachelor degree IT and/or Business in related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
* 2+ years IT and/or Business experience.
* 2+ years experience working with an ERP solution (i.e., Oracle EBS).
* 2+ years experience with turning business requirements into functional solutions.
* Understanding of risk and controls concepts
* Knowledge of application / system architecture, including the system development lifecycle.
* Familiarity with presentation and communication tools such as MS PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
* Well versed in Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to read, write and speak Spanish or Brazilian Portuguese proficiently is a plus.
