You offer thought leadership, strategy and governance for regulatory affairs, ensuring our portfolio is in regulatory and policy compliance. You advocate for our regulatory positions to promote removal of technical barriers and to enable our Snacking Made Right strategy, leveraging your established relationships with trade associations and government agencies. With others, you co-lead in the development of policies and provide regulatory affairs direction.
How you will contribute
You will develop and implement the scientific and regulatory affairs strategy and lead the regulatory compliance agenda. In this role, you will anticipate business risks and opportunities and work with strategic stakeholders; offer leadership for technical regulatory developments and support responses to challenges and crisis management; educate on the regulatory affairs implications of issues and develop proactive plans to mitigate risks; and regularly communicate internal stakeholders to ensure that strategies are aligned and priorities. In addition, you develop your team and manage the budget.

Education / Certifications:
* BSc. In Food Chemistry, Nutrition, Food Science, Toxicology, Engineering or related technical field.
* MSc. or Ph.D. preferred
* Min. 12 years with team management/leadership, experience in building, leading and inspiring teams in the scientific and regulatory arena.
Job specific requirements:
* Accountable for an effective and efficient Scientific and Regulatory Affairs organization.. Ensure team development and create opportunities for development of team and the wider SARA community.
* Monitor and evaluate developing scientific and regulatory issues and opportunities relevant to Mondelez.
* Represent the company externally in trade associations and scientific organization for NA on scientific and regulatory matters.
* Participate in cross-functional project teams with internal and external partners as appropriate to ensure that businesses are guided by sound scientific and regulatory perspectives inline with the company purpose and values.
* Sit on relevant regional and global foras and leadership teams.
