The Utility Tech position will be responsible for a variety of custodial tasks in the area of general housekeeping and special projects.
Major tasks include:
Assist in general housekeeping projects.
Take care of any side jobs assigned to him/her by the supervisor.
Removing and storing empty pallets.
Removing and storing recyclable materials.
Cleaning of filling line which includes all points between and including the thin-down tanks exit area and the final dispensing point into the finished good container.
- Transfer- hoses and pumps
- Filtering Filter housing, Filter Basket and Manifold
- Fill Tubs Above and Below the Line, Weld Seam, Lids
- Fill Bowls - Above and Below the Line, Weld Seam, Lids
- Dispensing Fill Heads, Wipers
- Float System Float Box, Float Heads, Float Line
- Tanks Inside Tank, Lids and Outside Tank
Cleaning of these areas will be on a per weekly schedule.
Other areas that may be included will be the Bulk unloading hoses sanitization weekly. Will serve as a floater in operations in addition to handling recycling and other cleaning tasks. All other job duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have access to reliable transportation
Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience as a janitor or custodian
One year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
