About Summerlin Hospital:

Summerlin Hospital is a 485-bed hospital featuring emergency services; a busy maternity department with an average of 450 deliveries per month; a Children's Medical Center with a NICU, a pediatric ICU and separate pediatric ER; advanced cardiovascular care, surgical services, women's health and oncology care. Summerlin Hospital is an accredited Chest Pain with PCI facility and a Primary Stroke Center, and has received multiple awards from the American Heart Association Get with the Guidelines program.

Job Description:

The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling, teaching and involvement with the care team for all applicable patients. The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist will fill orders for medications.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or Pharm D) from an accredited institution.

Experience:

Minimum of two (2) years required experience, preferably in a hospital setting. A residency in the field of specialty is desired.

Board certification & demonstrated experience in pediatrics, critical care, and/or infectious disease specialties preferred.

Technical Skills:

Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features. Microsoft Office and knowledge of hospital information system.

License/Certification:

Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada

Other:

A pharmacy resident and/or board certification is desirable.
