Sr. Director II of Evergreen Digital Media Marketing - WM Marketing

Walmart is hiring a Sr. Director II of Evergreen Digital Media with a successful record of managing and leading performance marketing to deliver outstanding revenue growth. The Sr. Director II of Evergreen Digital Media will report to the VP of Performance Marketing and will be responsible for leading a team of marketing managers running campaigns across various paid and unpaid marketing channels to drive growth in sales and higher marketing efficiency.

The Sr. Director of Evergreen Digital Media will partner closely with leaders across marketing, product, engineering, merchants (ecommerce and stores) to ensure we are building a thriving ecosystem of Walmart customers.

The ideal candidate will have deep domain experience in performance marketing. You will have a strong digital marketing background and should have successfully planned, launched, and optimized innovative marketing campaigns to achieve critical business outcomes. You will know how to organize and coach a team to achieve aggressive growth at scale. Additionally, you will be an evangelist internally for customer-focused growth, helping drive collaboration and key decisions to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities: What youll do:

* Responsible for overall planning and execution of algorithmically driven, always-on performance marketing campaigns that optimize for the enterprise while leveraging targeted opportunities in specific retail categories and products.

* Partner with product, engineering, data scientists, analysts, merchants and marketing peers to deliver marketing innovations that achieve our growth and efficiency objectives at scale.

* Build, coach and lead a team of marketers for planning, activation and management of these always-on campaigns across all marketing channels including paid search, SEO, affiliates, paid social and display.

* Partner with analytics and marketing technology product teams to enable deep campaign insights, automation and scalable segmentation, targeting and optimization.

* Manage relationships with major media partners to ensure high efficiency, and co-create or participate in new product alphas/betas.

* Identify and test emerging marketing platforms, partners, strategies and channels.

* Lead the team to provide thought leadership on the latest trends and marketing capabilities from media partners to advise on optimal media strategy and execution.

* Develop effective ways of working to ensure efficiency, agility and ability to scale the team to handle increasingly larger and more complex campaigns

Minimum Qualifications

* 12+ years of marketing experience

* 7+ years of experience managing a high-performance marketing team

* Must have broad and deep experience in performance marketing channels such as SEM, Display, Paid Social

* Understanding of how marketing channels complement one another in order to run effective cross-channel marketing campaigns that drive the highest efficiencies

* Strong management experience leading teams to achieve online performance-based media objectives and executing marketing campaigns that are part of multi-channel marketing strategy

* Exceptional oral and written communication skills

* Experience in eCommerce and marketing in the Retail industry is a plus
