The team member will be a part of the Sherwin Williams manufacturing team in the Roller Department. Sherwin Williams manufactures professional painting tools of the highest quality. This position will be required to setup and run the Extruder/Winder machine. The Team Member will have direct control of Extruder/Winder machine set up, operation and troubleshooting. The setup determines the quality of product and constant monitoring of machine operation will determine if the machine setup/process needs adjusted.

* Responsible for following the Standard Work routine as defined in training and observations audits.
* Responsible for the proper set-up and operation of the Extruder/Winder and support equipment. This includes product finishing, quality and packaging.
* Responsible for complete and accurate reporting on production logs and paperwork.
* Must maintain efficient operational levels and assist supervision and management in operational improvements.
* Responsible for communication regarding operational performance, actions, and status with outgoing and incoming shifts.
* Responsible for planning ahead for any raw material changes, adjusting line conditions as needed to efficiently process blends, making screen changes and replacing screen packs as needed.
* Responsible for monitoring all control panels to assure process is running safely and efficiently. Responsible for adjusting and shutting down equipment to prevent damage and/or to correct unsafe condition(s).
* Responsible for checking extruder cooling tanks for proper water level and oil levels, as well as temperature, chiller, and filters.
* Responsible for producing products according to company standards and specifications.
* Responsible for troubleshooting problems and making corrections or adjustments to extruder and downstream equipment.
* Responsible for performing basic and routine maintenance on the equipment.
* Responsible for meeting and maintaining job/area housekeeping standards including tools, work orders, raw materials, empty carts, containers, and all other process inputs and outputs.
* Responsible for rework/regrinding of processed tubes.
* Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
* Able to frequently stoop, bend, pull, and lift up to 50lbs
* Be able to work in high levels of heat/humidity, as extrusion process requires operator to heat plastic

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have reliable transportation to and from work
* Must be legally authorized to work in the country for which you are applying for employment without now or in the future needing sponsorship for employment visa status
* Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation
* Must have at least one year of working with machinery in a manufacturing environment
