Job Description:
The Electronic Operations Technician is responsible for testing, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repair of basic mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic avionics instruments using available documentation; repair manuals, schematic diagrams, technical publications, work instructions, and engineering drawings. In this role individuals may be responsible for conducting test on a variety of digital printed circuit boards, subassemblies or end products. Must be capable of using a variety of test equipment, logging information in technical databases and have a basic understanding of schematics. Basic troubleshooting skills are required. This should include troubleshooting product, subassembly and circuit board failures to component level. Must be able to work in a fast paces environment with a cross-functional team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
* 2-year technical degree/certificate in a directly related discipline (or 2 years of equivalent industry experience)
* 4 to 6 years of technician or board level troubleshooting experience.
* 2 plus years' experience with test equipment, i.e. Signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers
* Ability to troubleshoot product, subassembly and circuit board failures to component level
* Working knowledge with IPC A610, J-STD 001 and ESD
* Able to read and understand schematic diagrams
* Solid working knowledge of Electrical Engineering theory;
* Knowledgeable in RF transmission circuits
* Ability to troubleshoot and tune RF circuits
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
* Certified in IPC A610, J-STD 001 and ESD
* Experience with L3 avionics products and assembly processes is preferred
* MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Regularly demonstrates a positive attitude
* Strong customer focus
* Ability to work well with others, in a team environment
* Strong communication skills
* Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements
* Ability to use software such as Microsoft Word and Excel
* Willingness to work and learn in fast paced production environment

* Experience in Lean manufacturing environment
* Working knowledge of statistical process control as applied to related assembly, inspection and test processes
