Front End Semiconductor Process Engineer, External Partnerships

Job Description

This position is responsible for managing and directing the qualification of an integrated set of semiconductor processes to support technology development and deliver volume ramp. Much of this work will be in direct collaboration with our partner but supported by our Research and Engineering teams to help ensure success. Product ramp predictability and cross functional plan awareness will be a critical measurement of success. Able to travel up to 50% to partner site with periods of co-location.

Front End Semiconductor Process Engineer, External Partnerships Responsibilities

* Direct and align several semiconductor nanofabrication workstreams into an integrated plan in support of New Technology and Product Design Readiness

* Knowledge transfer in key risk areas, including but not limited to Etch, Film Deposition Patterning and Wets/Cleans

* Execute analyses and evaluate data against key performance indicators to support process quality and feedback

* Process revision control

* Support qualification, monitoring and trouble shooting

* Own the health of the interface between the different engineering functions at partner and at FB

* Own yield plan across full process flow

Minimum Qualifications

* MS or PhD in relevant field supporting semiconductor engineering

* 7+ years professional experience in semiconductor process engineering and integration engineering

* 4+ years experience in yield analysis and defectology

* 4+ years experience in volume manufacturing and process transfer

* Broad semiconductor experience including the following sectors: CVD, PVD, IBE, patterning, wets/cleans

* Proven experience with designed experiments, statistical analysis and process control

* Critical thinking and problem-solving skills that support effective decision making

* Experience planning effectively, organize and align different functions and groups

Preferred Qualifications

* Program management skills

* Experience with OCD metrology and modeling

* Experience with waveguide optics and optical metrology

* Experience with factory automation and manufacturing execution systems
