Addiction Counselor - Licensed

Prairie St. John's, a 110-bed psychiatric care facility located in Fargo, North Dakota, has been providing services for children, adolescents and adults to address behavioral health and substance use challenges since 1997. Prairie offers a full-service Continuum of Care including inpatient hospitalization, day treatment, residential treatment, and intensive outpatient services.

Prairie St. John's is seeking a dynamic and talented Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team in a unique position that will work with various patient groups.

This position is full time working Monday through Friday daytime hours.

Essential Job Duties:

* The Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) evaluates patients for chemical dependency history and uses this information to document signs, symptoms, implications, and treatment recommendations.
* The LAC develops and implements treatment plans.
* The LAC provides group therapy and CD education.
* The LAC is responsible for coordinating care with referral sources and other providers, as well as treatment and discharge planning.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

* ND Licensure as an Addiction Counselor
* Bachelor's degree in addiction studies or related field
