Job Role and Responsibility
As the needs of our business continues to rapidly shift and transform, HR Business Partners are at the forefront of critical VMware business transformations. Our HR Business Partners have a pivotal role in driving business transformation, talent management and organization design and development. You will be responsible for diagnosing and solving complex organizational challenges through people-related solutions and driving change to achieve business outcomes. You will need to possess an in-depth and broad understanding of the business and bring enterprise-wide talent solutions to the table. This will require you to think big, connect dots across the Company, use data to guide, be comfortable testing the status quo, and be a thought leader for the business. Youll partner with a cross-functional group of subject-matter resources, other HR Business Partners and HR Management Partners to design and execute shared operational and talent strategies. You will work side by side with our executives and leaders to get things done on a variety of talent and operational objectives.

* Translates business strategies into actionable HR objectives and solutions to achieve business outcomes.

* Highly effective analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze financial, operational and workforce data, understand trends, and develop systemic recommendations for action using analytic frameworks.
* Is comfortable and composed in situations in which the goals and / or processes to achieve objectives are unclear. Sets a path to enable the organization to confidently work through unclear circumstances.
* Able to ask pertinent, probing questions of senior executives with relevance and professionalism.

* Comfortable both digging in to get things done and contributing to complicated operational discussions.
Qualifications, Experience, and Education
* BA / BS degree or equivalent practical experience; MA / MS / MBA degree preferred.
* We are not requiring direct HR experience as this role will also appeal to professionals who want to leverage their leadership and consulting skills honed in other environments to make meaningful impact for our business.
* Experience leading transformational HR initiatives in a Cloud Computing/SaaS environment/industry highly desired.
