Full Time Days
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Develops, implements and evaluates policies, standards, educational services, and programs that support the department.
* Quality Control: Ensures that quality control monitoring is performed consistently, i.e. wave testing done and documented, refrigerator and crash cart logs completed, actively participate preparing unit for surveys.
* Assists in developing and submitting budget assumptions for capital and annual budgets for the respective department.
* Initiates activities to enhance revenues and support cost reduction and containment activities.
* Initiates and/or participates in methods to reduce salary expenses (i.e. FTE reduction, skill mix changes, Overtime usage, PRN usage, Agency Usage, and census fluctuation).
* Shows evidence of productivity as measured by the goals of worked & paid FTEs, and actively manages the overall department budget.
* Analyzes and monitors compliance with accrediting and regulatory agency standards, including JC, TDH, licensing boards, etc.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
* Bachelors Degree in Nursing
* Minimum of 5 years of Labor and Delivery clinical experience.
* Three (3) to five (5) years progressive leadership experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
* * Masters Degree in Nursing
* Two (2) years experience at a directors level or above
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
* Current certificate in BLS
* Current license or be eligible for license as an RN in the state of Texas (multistate acceptable).
REQUIRED MATERNAL/NEONATAL PROGRAM MANAGER CERTS FOR DESIGNATION
* NRP Certified
* ACLS Certified
* EFM education certificate of completion
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION PREFERRED:
* Professional specialty certification from a national organization in OB, PP, L&D, MCH, Nursery, NICU for Maternal/Neonatal Program Manager designation requirement (preferred)
Job Summary:
The AdventHealth Central Texas department of Maternal Child Health is divided into 4 areas. We have a 22-bed Couplet Care/gyn surgical unit, which consists of post-partum mothers and their newborns, GYN surgical patients, and occasional med/surg overflow, Labor and Delivery and Nursery/Special Care Nursery.
