Job Summary:
Specific Focus: The Solution Architect for our Corporate Technologies Area will help lead technology transformation initiatives across HR, Finance and Corp. Real Estate/ Security. This includes driving the architectural roadmaps for these areas and researching innovative capabilities/ vendor solutions that will help modernize our business platforms. This role requires strategic thinking and the ability to translate advance technical concepts into meaningful business value for our business partners in these areas. This role must have a strong functional understanding of the HR, Finance and Corporate Real Estate/ Physical Security business processes and able to work effectively with both the business and IT areas. Providing technical direction and ensuring that solutions meet the needs of the business, while conforming to architecture standards.
General Duties: Under general direction with a high level of autonomy, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to perform the necessary analysis and design tasks related to the development of a solution architecture aligned with a set of competencies. Enables the development of a collection of integrated application systems required to satisfy business information needs. Influences strategic direction, develops tactical plans, and completes complex assignments with substantial latitude for actions or decisions. Provides comprehensive solutions to complex issues and problems. Defines, oversees, and maintains architectural integrity of the overall technology solution of a project, product, or system.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Addresses architecturally significant concerns related to hardware, operating system, middleware, DBMS, and 3rd party COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf), plus the interoperability / integration of all architectural layers.
Leads conceptual architecture design for process and integrations across all architecturally defined layers.
Review application and project high-level architectural design to assess impact to overall solution architecture.
Participates in technical design and code reviews as needed.
Designs solutions within defined architectural standards, principles and guidelines.
Provides breadth and depth of knowledge in areas involving infrastructure and operational interfacing across applications; does deep dive on technical issues.
Analyzes technology industry and market trends and determines potential impact upon the business services and processes.
Designs and participates in the implementation of an enterprise architecture based on business requirements and information technology strategies and trends.
Designs and participates in the governance activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise technical and/or solutions architecture.
Consults with application development projects to fit systems to the enterprise technical and/or solution architecture and identifies when it is necessary to modify the application to accommodate new technology and/or solution and application trends or visa versa.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
HR Platforms and processes including Human Capital Management Systems, Learning Management, Talent Acquisition, Payroll/ Compensation and Benefits Administration.
Financial systems and processes is also preferred: Accounts Payable, Asset Management, Procurement/Sourcing, Treasury/ Cash Management, GL and Enterprise Performance Management (Planning, Budgeting & Consolidations).
Corporate Real Estate/ Facilities Management and Physical Security Systems and processes preferred.
Basic financial models and budgeting.
The perspectives, interests, and agendas of others in the organization.
General Knowledge of all components of the enterprise technical architecture and process. With exposure to Portal technologies, RPA, Machine Learning and Chat-Bots preferred.

Education/Previous Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Ccience, Systems Analysis, or a related study.
A minimum of three (3) years experience required in at least two (2) Information Technology disciplines in a client/server environment, including, but not limited to, technical architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, operations OR an equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
A minimum of seven (7) years experience required supporting Human Resources and/ or Financial Systems including Payroll/ Compensation.
