Functional Overview:

The Finance Senior Manager is a key member of the Corporate Controller function and will report to the Director, ESG & Non-Financial Reporting. This individual will work closely and interact with multiple stakeholders in the preparation and review of non-financial reporting requirements, the Sustainability Report, the Annual Report, and the Proxy and Board materials.

In this role, this individual will also work directly with teams outside Whirlpool including external auditors, ESG Rating agencies and valuation experts. This role is expected to drive and deliver process improvements related to workflow, analytics, reporting and communications, with a focus on SEC filings, ESG Ratings and operational reporting.

Scope of Role & Responsibilities:

* Coordinate and lead the preparation and review of the Sustainability Report

* Coordinate and lead Limited Assurance engagement with EY

* Coordinate and lead the execution of Whirlpool's first green bond; implement new processes to comply with technical accounting and reporting requirements of green bonds

* Drive continuous improvement in the Sustainability Report process

* Assist with the preparation of Board, EC, ESG Council and ESG Task Force materials

* Assist with ongoing ESG communication plans with all stakeholders including investors, employees, suppliers, Non-government agencies, ESG Rating agencies etc.

* Create and monitor ESG budget on quarterly basis

* Support review process of financial reporting filings, including quarterly earnings releases and SEC filings (Form 10-K,10-Q,8-K, Annual Report, Proxy Statement, etc.)

* Assist with technical research and monitoring trends on Integrated Reporting as well as special projects

* Ensure SOX 404 and internal control compliance standards are maintained for ESG reporting

* Assist the Policies & Procedures team in recommending and implementing process enhancements and efficiencies around general accounting practices and procedures

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management or Business

* Public accounting experience working on large, publicly traded companies

* Experience with SEC reporting and technical GAAP research and analysis

* 5+ years of relevant work experience in finance or accounting

* Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems

* Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills

* Ability to influence and lead others

* Ability to work well in a collaborative team-oriented and face-paced environment under strict deadlines

* Demonstrated thought leadership, extraordinary results, strategy execution and teamwork skills

* Have a global mindset to thrive in a inclusive diverse culture and environment

Highly Preferred:

* CPA
* Experience with ESG, non-financial reporting, GenSuite, CR360 and SAP
