JOB SCOPE / SUMMARY
* Provide training and direction for the order puller and ensure related operating equipment is used properly and safely
* Working safely is part of our culture and is a condition of employment
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Provide training to new employees regarding the proper handling and correct procedures in order pulling.
* Provide a quality check for damages, misinformation, and any discrepancies with an order, so as to ensure that all products are arranged properly and that they arrive in the proper condition when they arrive to the customer.
* Coordinate the loading of products onto pallets and returning the pallets to the wrapping area.
* Provide the transport of products to and from different work locations.
* Maintain established safety and work procedures in order to properly log and move orders.
* Complete Inspection of pallets for proper stickers, addresses, and labeling and display positioning.
* Maintain updated and accurate information on bill of lading and be sure to return promptly to the order ship desk.
* Maintain accurate and complete product orders.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION:
* High School Education or equivalent
* Some production or equipment operation experience is desirable
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES
* Ability to operate rider jack, forklift, hand jack or a power hand jack in effort to obtain correct products
* Possess clear understanding of order pulling, data entry, maintenance, safety and recordkeeping
* Possess a clear understanding of spill cleanup procedures
* Ability to lift and move items of considerable weight
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
* May periodically operate forklift and shrink wrap machine
* Required to wear and use appropriate safety gear including boots and back belt
* Required to work more than 8 hours in a workday or 40 hours in a workweek as required by supervisor
