Sort Development Module Engineers own and improve test equipment applications software and operation systems in order to enhance the quality reliability and manufacturability of sort testing equipment.

This position is for a module engineering role within the Sort Test Technology Development STTD group which is within Assembly and Test Technology Development ATTDAs an STTD module engineer the candidate will be expected to understand and develop hardware and/or software capability for the test equipment sets be able to construct and execute Designs of Experiment and perfect the sort process for release to high volume manufacturing.

The candidates responsibilities may include:

-Partner with internal organizations and external vendors to develop the sort modules equipment.

-Planning and conducting experiments to qualify or test module and/or process capabilities.

-Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education statistical knowledge and problem solving tools.

-Meeting production quality and reliability requirements.

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits and/or skills:

-Multitask with good tolerance of ambiguity and written and verbal communication skills.

-Highly motivated and excited by self-directed work.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Qualifications

You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences

Minimum requirements:

* Candidate must possess a Masters degree (6+ months of experience) or PhD degree (1+ year of experience) in Mechanical Engineering or Physics or Electrical Engineering or Material Science or an equivalent Engineering degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

* Design of Experiments DOE.
* Hardware development.
* Laboratory experience.
