The Intel Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) has been delivering industry leading custom logic solutions to customers since inventing the world's first reprogrammable logic device in 1984. To expand the technology that provides us with advantages in programmable solutions, we are looking for a phenomenal candidate to join our high-powered team.
As a member of Intel's PSG Pre-Silicon Verification team, you'll get hands-on exposure to the FPGA verification process. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of tools developed within PSG engineering for the automation of design and verification activities.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following traits:
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the willingness to work with others in a complex and ambiguous environment
* Strong problem solving skills and interest in learning and researching new ideas
This is a 6-month internship
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum qualifications:
* Must be pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related.
* 6+ month experience with:
* Hands on experience of Python programming using TDD, virtual environments, and open source packages
* Hands on experience of Git source control management
* Hands of experience of developing in Linux or Windows environment
* Practical understanding of software engineering principles such as SOLID and design patterns
* Understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL)
* Understanding of software technologies such as XML/JSON/YAML, REST, and microservices architecture
* Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD
Preferred qualifications:
* Be able to work independently and collaboratively with engineers from various development teams
* Understanding of digital logic design and computer architecture
* Familiarity with other programming languages and development tools such as C++
* Exposure to ASIC or FPGA design and verification methodologies and technologies such as System Verilog, UVM, and EDA
